Derby fleets come in every shape
A city of more than 275,000 people keeps a lot of commercial vehicles busy. In Derby that can mean tractor units and rigids serving the manufacturers, vans working for the railway businesses at the Railway Technical Centre, delivery vehicles for the Kingsway Retail Park and the Meteor Centre, and coaches and minibuses carrying people in a city with its own bus station and several national coach routes. Plenty of operators run a mixture, and a mixture is where maintenance gets awkward: different intervals for different vehicles, different suppliers for different jobs, and paperwork scattered across all of them.
One plan for the whole fleet
A contract with us starts with a list. Every vehicle, its inspection interval from your licence, and the dates its next service and annual test fall due go into a single calendar. Heavier work, inspections and test preparation happen at our workshop at Calke Mill Farm, Ashby Road, Melbourne, and defects from drivers' walkaround checks are repaired by our mobile technicians at your depot, whether that is in Spondon, Sinfin, Alvaston, Chaddesden or anywhere else in the city. Each visit is recorded, so when DVSA asks for maintenance records and inspection dates they are ready, and your OCRS score and licence are protected.
The same people when one stops at night
The technicians who know your vehicles from the workshop are the ones who come out when one of them stops on the A38 or the A52 late at night. They already know its history, so a fault that keeps coming back is fixed at the root rather than patched again. Breakdown cover can sit inside the contract, and we agree exactly what it includes when the contract is set up.
Changing over without a gap
Moving maintenance to a new provider doesn't need to leave a hole in the schedule. Tell us when each vehicle is next due, share recent inspection sheets if you have them, and we pick up the calendar from there. Fleet customers are set up on account.
To talk through a Derby fleet, ring 01332 916028 and tell us how many vehicles you run, what they are, where they are kept and how they are looked after now. We will suggest a plan that suits the way you work, whether that is a handful of vans or a yard of artics and trailers.
