Swadlincote has no railway station, so its industry, shops and services all depend on the road, and Trucktec Assist 24 keeps the vehicles on those roads working. We cover the whole town, from Church Gresley, Castle Gresley and Midway to Newhall, Woodville and Goseley, and the villages around it including Hartshorne, Albert Village, Linton, Overseal and Moira.
Two routes carry most of the town's traffic. The A511 runs between Burton upon Trent and the dual-carriageway A42 at Ashby-de-la-Zouch, and the A514 comes in from Derby over Swarkestone Bridge, passes through the town and finishes at the A444 just to the west. A breakdown on either of them, or in a yard on one of the large industrial estates, goes to 01332 916028, which is answered day and night all year. We try to get the vehicle going again where it has stopped, and recover it when that can't be done safely.
Planned work happens at our workshop at Calke Mill Farm, Ashby Road, Melbourne, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00: servicing, PMI safety inspections, annual test preparation, brake testing, diagnostics, curtain repairs and welding. Operators who want the lot handled by one team can put their vehicles on a fleet maintenance contract, covering HGVs, trailers, coaches, minibuses, vans and light commercials, as well as specialist and emergency-service vehicles.
