Trucktec Assist 24
24/7 breakdown, recovery and mobile repair for HGVs, vans and fleets — across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire
A look at what we do
When a truck stops, everything behind it stops with it — the delivery, the driver's hours, the customer at the other end. Trucktec Assist 24 exists to make that stop as short as possible.
We're a commercial vehicle recovery, roadside assistance and maintenance business based at Melbourne, just south of Derby, working across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. Our technicians go out fully equipped to fix the fault where it happened wherever we can, because a repair at the roadside beats a tow and a lost day every time. When recovery is the right call, we have the equipment for the heavier stuff too.
Alongside the emergency work we look after the planned side: servicing, safety inspections, MOT preparation, brake testing and full fleet maintenance contracts. It's the same team either way — the people who service your vehicles are the people who come out when one of them lets you down at two in the morning.
The emergency line is answered around the clock, in all weathers, every day of the year. One call, one team, always here.
Everything you need, under one roof

24/7 emergency breakdown & recovery
A commercial vehicle stopped at the roadside costs money every minute it sits there. Our emergency line is answered around the clock, every day of the year, and we come out equipped to get you moving — repairing where the vehicle stands wherever that is safe and possible, and recovering with the right equipment when it isn't.

Mobile on-site repairs
Most of what takes a commercial vehicle off the road can be put right where it is standing, by someone who arrived with the tools and the parts to do it. Our mobile technicians work at the roadside, in your yard and at your customer's premises — so the vehicle is back in service without a tow, a workshop slot or a wasted day.

Servicing & planned maintenance
Planned maintenance is the cheapest work we do, because it is the work that stops the expensive kind. Servicing to manufacturer guidelines, scheduled around your operation rather than ours, at our workshop just south of Derby — so vehicles come off the road when it suits you instead of when they decide to.

Safety inspections (PMI) & MOT preparation
Preventative maintenance inspections on your schedule, and MOT preparation that means the vehicle presents properly first time. Inspections are the paperwork your operator licence rests on, so they need doing on time, doing thoroughly, and recording in a way that stands up to scrutiny.

Brake testing & repairs
Brakes are the single most common reason a commercial vehicle fails an inspection, and one of the cheapest things to stay on top of. We test, diagnose and repair across commercial braking systems — on air and hydraulic systems, on tractors, rigids and trailers.

Diagnostics & fault finding
A warning light is a symptom, not a diagnosis. We read the fault, work out what is actually causing it and tell you what needs doing — on site where we can, in the workshop where the job needs it. The point is to identify the problem properly rather than replace parts until the light goes out.

Fleet maintenance contracts
One arrangement covering servicing, safety inspections, MOT preparation and priority breakdown cover across your whole fleet — with the paperwork kept straight and the downtime planned rather than suffered. Built around how your operation actually runs, not a package off a shelf.

Curtain repairs & welding
Trailer curtain repairs and on-site welding — the practical jobs that quietly take a vehicle off the road if nobody deals with them. A torn curtain or a cracked bracket is not what most operators think of as a breakdown, right up until it is the reason a load cannot go.
