Curtains
Tears, failed straps and buckles, damaged tensioners, worn runners and rollers, and the damage that comes from a curtain being loaded against or caught. Repaired where it is practical to repair, replaced where a repair would not hold.
A curtain in poor condition is a load security problem before it is a cosmetic one, and it is exactly the sort of thing that gets noticed at the roadside.
Welding and fabrication
On-site welding for chassis and body work: brackets, mountings, steps, guards, rails, floors and the fittings that take a beating in normal use. Repairs made properly rather than patched to last until somebody else has to deal with it.
Body and structural damage
Damage after a strike or an incident, on the trailer or the vehicle. We will look at it, tell you whether it affects roadworthiness, and put it right — or tell you plainly if it is beyond an economic repair.
Why this sits alongside the mechanical work
Curtain and body damage tends to get postponed, because the vehicle still drives. Then it fails an inspection, or a load cannot be secured, or the damage spreads into something structural. Dealing with it as part of a scheduled visit is a fraction of the cost and none of the disruption.
On site or in the workshop
Much of this work is done where the trailer is. Bring it to Melbourne if that suits you better, or we will come out — including as part of a planned maintenance visit to your yard.
