Trucktec Assist 24 looks after commercial vehicles across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, and Ashby-de-la-Zouch sits where several of the roads we work every day meet. The A42 bypasses the town as a dual carriageway, carrying traffic between the end of the M42 at Appleby Magna and the M1 at junction 23A, with junctions 12 and 13 serving Measham, Snarestone and the A511. The 6-mile Measham and Ashby-de-la-Zouch bypass section opened in 1989, and together with the A511 bypass it took heavy traffic off the old A453 and A50 routes through the centre. The A511 links Coalville and Bardon with Burton upon Trent.
When a vehicle stops, on the A42, the A511, in a town-centre street or out at Packington, Smisby, Lount, Coleorton, Moira or Measham, our technicians set out to fix it where it stands, and bring heavy recovery equipment into play only when a roadside repair isn't safe or possible.
Planned work is done at our workshop at Calke Mill Farm, Melbourne, one of the places within 10 miles of the town: servicing, PMI safety inspections, annual test preparation, brake work, diagnostics, and curtain and welding repairs, Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00.
The town's economy mixes food manufacturing, distribution, retail and service businesses across North West Leicestershire, so we see everything from small vans to artics, along with coaches, minibuses and specialist vehicles.
