Bringing the repair to Mansfield
A workshop near Derby is not much help to a Mansfield vehicle with a broken lamp or a weeping air line; the trip down and back would cost more working time than the fault itself. Our mobile service removes that problem. A technician drives out to the vehicle with tools, diagnostic equipment and a supply of the parts we use most, and repairs it where it is parked.
The faults we handle this way are the everyday ones that ground a vehicle: air leaks at couplings and pipework, failed lighting and broken wiring, charging and battery trouble, damaged tyres, and the trailer connections that stop a load leaving the yard.
A town with plenty of yards
Mansfield's economy has changed shape since coal, the brewery and the textile mills wound down. Public services now loom large, with the district council, the further education college and the hospital trust among the town's employers, alongside the Four Seasons shopping centre and three outdoor retail parks, Portland and St Peter's among them. All of that needs vans, rigids and service vehicles, which live in depots and yards around the town and out in Mansfield Woodhouse, Forest Town, Rainworth, Pleasley and Sutton-in-Ashfield.
We work at those sites. Tell us where the vehicle is parked, how we get in and when it needs to be back on the road, and we will plan the visit around that.
Defects from the walkaround
Drivers' daily checks are where a lot of mobile work starts. A lamp out, a leaking air connection or a damaged mirror found at the start of the day has to be fixed before the vehicle goes out, and every hour it waits is an hour lost. Ring us when the defect is reported and we will arrange the repair at your premises, after the working day if that suits, with the work recorded so your defect report shows the fix.
Breakdowns in town and on the bypass
The same technicians handle faults on the move. If a vehicle has stopped somewhere safe on the A60, the A617 bypass or the A38 with a fault that can be repaired there, we repair it there. For anything on the road, ring 01332 916028 at any hour.
Honest about the limits
Some repairs can't be done properly in a yard or at the kerbside. Big component changes, structural work and jobs that need the vehicle on lifts belong in the workshop at Melbourne, which takes booked work Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00. When a job falls into that category we will tell you straight away and agree how to get the vehicle there, rather than leaving you with a quick fix that won't last.
